Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, June 22: Jhajjar Kotli Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound vehicle bearing registration number JK02AN-5484.
During checking, police team rescued four bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver along with his associate.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Shakeel, son of Mukool Hussain of Patyal RS Pura and Mohd Qasim, son of Atta Din of Govind Pura Maitra District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 154/2022 under Sections 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act and 50/52/54/56 Transportation of Animals Rules 1978 has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
