JAMMU, July 15: Phallian Mandal Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, a team from Police Post Phallian Mandal led by PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Sameer Jilani, SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma laid a naka at Doana Morh and intercepted a vehicle.
During checking, police team rescued 31 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Hussain Ali, son of Mohd Sharief and Gafoor Ali, son of Hussain Ali, both residents of Sidhra, District Jammu.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
