JAMMU, Jan 14: Bagh-e-Bahu police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 12 cattle.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02M-5837.
During checking, police rescued 12 bovine animals from the vehicle and seized it, while the accused managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
