DODA, May 27: Kastigarh police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 11 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Kastigarh Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a person carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the person failed to give satisfactory reply and police arrested him. Police rescued 11 bovine animals from the clutches of the accused.
The accused has been identified as Javed Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman Sheikh, a resident of Lahri Mundhar, tehsil Kastigarh, district Doda.
A case under FIR Number 77/18 under Sections 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Kastigarh Police Post SI Ashiq Hussain foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
