Bovines smuggling bid foiled

RAMBAN, Aug 29: Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 17 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka near Shan Palace and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AS-6283.
During checking, police rescued 17 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Nazir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Munshi, a resident of Gole Gujaral, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 127/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
