JAMMU, Sept 29: Jhajjar Kotli police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 2 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound Mahindra vehicle.
During checking, police rescued 2 cattle from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Shamsher Ali, son of Shah Mohammad, a resident of Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 97/18 under relevant sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started.
