Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Apr 16: Chanderkote Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 17 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Chanderkote led by SHO Inspector Vijay Choudhary under the supervision of Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SSP Ramban PD Nitya laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck bearing registration number JK02BS-0445.
During checking, police team rescued 17 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Mohammad Shakoor, son of Bag Hussain of District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 38/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation started.
