JAMMU, May 6: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 12 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound vehicle bearing registration number JK02AF-6167.
During checking, police team rescued 12 bovine animals and arrested one person, who was identified as Mohammad Mansha, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 187/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
