Bovines smuggling bid foiled, one arrested

KATHUA, Jan 23: Hiranagar Police foiled bovines smuggling bid and arrested one person.
As per police spokesman, a team from Police Station Hiranagar led by SHO Inspector Yash Paul Sharma under the supervision of SSP Kathua RC Kotwal laid a naka near Londi Morh and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02BV-9657.
During checking, police team rescued 20 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Mohammad Sadiq, son of Mohammad Rashid, a resident of Narwal Jammu.
A case FIR Number 10/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Hiranagar and investigation initiated.
