Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 14 cattle rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, July 22: Miran Sahib and Chassana police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 14 cattle and arresting two person.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka near Indira Nagar and intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK14E-1463.
During checking, police rescued 4 cattle from the vehicle and arrested one person, who has been identified as Labh Din, son of Chirag Din, a resident of Chakra District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 108/18 under relevant Sections has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
Meanwhile, a team from Chassana Police Station rescued 10 cattle and arrested a bovine smuggler, who has been identified as Malooka, son of Abdul Rasheed, a resident of Channa, Tehsil Chassana, District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 28/18 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Chassana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Chassana Inspector Ali Imran made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Mahore Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and SSP Reasi Tahir Sajjad.
