Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 14 cattle rescued, 4 arrested

JAMMU, Oct 2: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 14 cattle and arresting four smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted four vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02BN-4681, JK02CH-0377, JK02X-2897 and JK02CE-9902.
During checking, police team rescued 14 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested four persons, who were identified as Murad Ali, son of Ghulam Mohd of District Ramban, Mohammad Abass, son of Abdul Qadoos of Mazmoon Qazigund, Abdul Khan Kalyanpur Marh District Jammu and Jyoti Parkash, son of Manohar Lal of Gho Manhasa Marh District Jammu.
Case under FIR Numbers 371/2020, 372/2020, 373/2020 and 374/2020 under relevant sections have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
