Bovines smuggling bids foiled, 2 arrested

JAMMU, May 29: Nagrota Police foiled bovine smuggling bids and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02 AJ-4665 and JK01X-7476.
During checking, police team rescued 27 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Abdul Nabi, son of Abdul Kareem of Tandan Nagrota and
Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Azeem Bakerwal of Peera District Ramban.
Cases under FIR Numbers 228/2021 and 229/2021 under relevant section of law were registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
The arrest and recoveries have been made by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Showkat under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
