Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Mar 20: Kanachack and Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria laid a naka and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing Registration number JK19-5221.
During checking, police team rescued four bovine animals from the vehicle and seized it, while a cattle smuggler identified as Nek Mohammad, son of Mohammad Yousaf, a resident of Raipur Jaggir, District Jammu was arrested. His associated managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket laid a naka and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing Registration Number JK02BR-4686.
During checking, police team rescued four bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Abdul Latif, son of Abdul Ghani of Pogal Paristan District Ramban.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Kanachack and Nagrota Police Stations and investigation started.
