Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Mar 23: Nagrota and Doda Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK14A-0516 and JK02CQ-2712.
During checking, police team rescued four bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested three persons, who were identified as Seshi Kumar, son of Jaffu Ram of Kultyar Tehsil Panchari District Udhampur, Sulaman, son of Mohammad Hanif of Jagti Tanda and Saleem Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Dommi Tehsil Jhajjar Kotli.
Cases under FIR Numbers 114/2021 and 115/2021 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Doda led by SHO Arun Sharma intercepted two Tata Mobiles.
During checking, police team rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested around half dozen accused.
Two cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Doda and investigation initiated.
