Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Oct 31: Batote, Chanderkote and Bagh-e-Bahu Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, teams from Police Stations Batote and Chanderkote laid a naka and intercepted 8 vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 82 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested seven smugglers, who were identified as Yasir Ahmad, son of Liyaqat Ali Khatana of Nar Kokernag, Arshad Ahmad, son of Sardar Mohammad of Qazigund Kulgam, Mohammad Junaid, son of Mohammad Shafi of Maitra Ramban, Manshad Din, son of Khan Mohammad of Mand Tikri, Sardar Ali, son of Mohammad Sharief Khan of Kot Balwal Jammu, Basharat Ahmad, son of Abdul Latief Mughal of Gool Ramban and Riyaz Ahmad, son of Ghali Gujjar of Belicharana Jammu.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu led by Incharge SHO Zaheer Manhas under the supervision of SDPO East Sajad Sarwar laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AG-8497.
During checking, police team rescued 13 bovine animals from the vehicle.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Batote, Chanderkote and Bagh-e-Bahu and investigation started.
