Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, Dec 22: Nagrota, Majalta and Chatyar Chingus Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AD-1443.
During checking, police team rescued 8 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Bota Ram, son of Dewan Chand of RS Pura District Jammu and Abdul Razak, son of Mohammad Jamal of District Pulwama Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Majalta led by SHO Inspector Virender Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Bhishm Dubey and SSP Udhampur Vinod Kumar laid a naka at Battal and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AH-5977.
During checking, police team rescued 13 bovines from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Balwinder Singh, son of Harpal Singh, a resident of RS Pura District Jammu.
However, a team of Police Post Chingus Chatyar led by PSI Sahil Chowdhary under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajouri Vinod Sharma during checking rescued 6 bovine animals from a vehicle.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Nagrota, Majalta and Rajouri and investigation started.
