Bovines smuggling bids foiled

RAMBAN, Jan 19: Batote Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Batote laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02AC-8569 and JK19-4928.
During checking, police team rescued 14 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Raneek Singh, son of Harneek Singh, a resident of Ward Number 4, Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu and Shakeel Ahmed, son of Gulzar Ahmed of Takiya, Tethar, Tehsil Banihal, District Ramban.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Batote and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Ajeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
