Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, June 3: Ramban and Jhajjar Kotli Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Ramban led by SHO Inspector Sandeep Charak laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck.
During checking, police team rescued 28 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Rouf Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of District Anantnag.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle.
During checking, police team rescued 12 bovine animals and seized the vehicle.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Ramban and Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
