Bovines smuggling bids foiled

RAMBAN, June 17: Ramban and Neel Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per official spokesman, a team from Police Station Ramban laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle, which was on its way to Kashmir from Jammu.
During checking, police team rescued 22 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who was identified as Mohd Khalid, son of Mohd Dawood of Baga District Reasi and
Mohd Miya, son of Mohd Yaqoub of Mand Tehsil Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Neel apprehended a man along with 9 bovine animals, which he was smuggling towards Kashmir on foot.
The arrested persons were identified as Sajad Ahmed, son of Ghulam Nabi Lohar of Chamalwas.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Ramban and Ramsoo and investigation started.
