JAMMU, June 19: Manwal Police foiled bovines smuggling bids.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Manwal led by SI Ayub Khan under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Vikram Sharma and SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka at Nadal and intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued eight bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Sajid Mohammad of District Kathua and Mohd Amzar of District Kathua.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
