RAMBAN, July 20: Chanderkote, Ramban and Batote Police foiled bovines smuggling bids and rescued 78 cattle.
As per police sources, teams from Police Stations Chanderkote, Ramban and Batote laid nakas in their respective jurisdictions and intercepted five Kashmir bound vehicles bearing registration numbers JK14G-3247, JK02AS-7981, JK21F-3935, JK21-6836 and JK21F-7661.
During checking, police team rescued 78 bovine animals and seized all the five vehicles.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Chanderkote, Ramban and Batote and investigation started.
