RAMBAN, May 31: Batote police foiled bovine animals smuggling bids by rescuing 79 cattle.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Batote police station laid a naka and intercepted five vehicles.
During checking, police rescued 79 bovine animals from the vehicles, while the accused cattle smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
Five cases have been registered in this regard at Batote police station and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused, who escaped from the spot leaving behind the vehicles.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Vijay Choudhary foiled the bovines smuggling bids under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Imtiaz Ahmed and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
