DODA, June 28: A 10-year-old boy died due to electric shock in a remote village of Doda district this morning, officials said.
They said Ehsan Ilahi Parihar son of Muzamil Ahmed of Neel Top Ramban at present Barshalla, Doda received power shock around 7 AM in his residence today, resulting in severe injuries to the boy.
He was taken to hospital in Doda where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, officials said.
Police have launched inquest proceedings to further probe the matter, they added.
