KATHUA, May 8: A boy drowned in a river in Pather village of Billawar while taking a bath in Bhinni river flowing through the area.
He has been identified as Parikshit, son of Surjet Singh Bhadwal of Pather Billawar.
The boy had gone to bath in the river today but drowned in the deep waters, police said. His body was fished out from water and later taken to SDH Billawar for postmortem. It was handed over to family after completion of all formalities for cremation. The Billawar Police has registered a case under Section 174.
