RAJOURI, June 7: A 12-year-old boy drowned in Darhali nallah in Seora area of Rajouri town this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when Umar, son of Abdul Qayoom, resident of Darhal had come to the house of his aunt (Mausi) at Seora in Rajouri. The boy along with some other boys of the locality, went to the nearby Darhali nallah for bathing. While bathing, Umar slipped into the deep water and drowned. The other boys raised alarm and tried to save but could not trace. Later police also reached there. The body of the boy was then fished out and removed to mortuary of district hospital for legal formalities.
