KATHUA, July 14: A 14 year boy drowned in Ranjit Sagar Dam where he had gone to take a bath along with a group of students today.
He has been identified as Tushar Verma, S/O Ramesh Verma a student of Class 9th of Basholi. The boy was participating in a RSS Camp that was underway in Basholi and on the concluding day of the camp today he along with other students went to the dam for taking a bath where he drowned.
His body was later fished out and taken to SDH Basholi for postmortem. The dead body was later handed over to parents by the police after completing all the legal formalities.
The Basholi Police has registered a case under Section 174 RPC in this regard.
