REASI, Nov 12: In yet another incident, a 13-year old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Baggudass area of Reasi district on Tuesday night.
The victim, identified as Shabaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Yousuf of Baggudass area, was attacked by the leopard when he had come out from his home for some work. The beast suddenly attacked the boy and dragged him away to nearby jungle even as the family members raised an alarm.
Mutilated body of the boy was later found about 300 mtrs away from where the boy had gone missing.
The incident has triggered a panic wave in the area where in a similar incident, one person was mauled to death by a leopard a few days back. There is also a strong resentment among the locals against Wildlife Department, which had allegedly done nothing for the safety of people.
