MENDHAR, Mar 3: A student of engineering, studying in Polytechnic at Jammu was seriously injured after he received severe electric shocks at his residence at village Banola in tehsil Mendhar today.
18-year-old Aijaz Ahmed, son of Mohd Sadiq had come to his home on holidays. He went to his roof top to check power line and was trapped in the cables and thrown down the roof with severe electric shock. The boy received serious burn injuries in both the hands and arms and head injury due to fall.
The injured was rushed to Mendhar hospital where doctors provided preliminary treatment and then referred him to GMC hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
