JAMMU, May 12: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Jammu, organised the first EV rally of the JKUT on the occasion of SAKSHAM-2023 from M/S Shankar Service Station to BPCL flagship COCO (Company Owned Company Operated) BP Gaghwal with a message of adopting electric vehicles to achieve net zero carbon emission.
The event started with the welcoming of all the participants followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony of the BPCL’s EV chargers installed at M/S Shankar Service Station, on the National Highway.
On this occasion, the customers were briefed with recently installed 10 BPCL’s EV chargers on NH 44 starting from Kathua to Srinagar. BPCL officers also introduced the `HELLO BPCL APP’ to the participants for their one stop solution related EV charging. The App provides all the information related to EV chargers installed by BPCL like their online status, location and online payment method for charging EVs. This app provides remote monitoring of charging time of your EV which enables the customer to hangout at nearby places while their EV being charged.
After briefing, the rally was flagged off by Managers, Ajay Kumar, Hemant Kumar and Asst Manager Sundeep Devnani of BPCl Jammu. On reaching BP Gaghwal, a demonstration on the working of EV chargers was given to the participants.
The rally concluded with a vote of thanks from the participants for organising the event and making them aware about the EV charger corridor of BPCL on the National Highway-44.
