JAMMU, Jan 8: Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) J&K Regional Branch here today in its 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM), held online, elected B.R Sharma as its Chairman for the period 2022-24.
Dr. Ashok Bhan, former DGP J&K Police shall be mentoring the branch as Patron.
During the AGM, new office bearers for the period 2022-24 were also elected and the Executive Committee was also nominated.
The office bearers elected for the period 2022-24 are J.B.S Johar, vice chairman (Jammu); Dr. G.N Qasba, vice chairman (Kashmir); Dr. Pawan Kotwal, vice chairman (Central); Prof Alka Sharma, Hony Secretary; Vikrant Kuthiala, Hony Treasurer; Dr. Anil Gupta, joint secretary (Jammu); G.M Andrabi, joint secretary (Kashmir); K.B Jandial, Director Seminars; Lt. Col. (Retd) Karan Singh, Joint Director Seminar (Jammu) and Prof. S.M Afzal Qadri, Joint Director Seminars (Kashmir).
The 15 member Executive Committee nominated included Kuldeep Khoda, A.M Watali, Manoj Dwivedi, Dr. C.M Seth, Prof. Rekha Choudhary, Prof. Mehraj-ud-din, M.M Gupta, Prem Gupta, Manoj Panditha, Dr. Naseer Iqbal Bhat, Hitesh Gupta, Dr. Sudershan Kumar, Narinder Khajuria, Qazi Shabeer Ahmad and Dr. Komal Nagar.
B.R Sharma in his address said the IIPA branch is committed to undertake activities across the regions of J&K and the UT of Ladakh.
Dr. Ashok Bhan congratulated the branch for achieving distinction of being adjudged the 2nd best branch in the country consecutively for the last two years.
Prof. Alka Sharma, presented annual report and Vikrant Kuthiala, presented the statement of accounts for the last financial year.
M.M Gupta was returning officer during the elections. Dr. Anil Gupta, joint secretary coordinated the AGM.
