Brahman Maha Mandal to set up Gurukul to teach Sharda, Sanskrit

JAMMU, Dec 5: To introduce the formative languages into the daily life of every member of Kashmiri Samaj to help them read and understand the significance of Vedic Karma Kand and practice it by themselves in their day to day life, Brahman Maha Mandal Kashmir has decided to set up Gurukul here to teach Sanskrit and Sharda to interested members of the community.
This was stated in a handout issued by B L Handoo president of Brahman Maha Mandal Kashmir here today.
The Gurukul will also undertake the task of translating the ancient manuscripts written in Sharda/ Sanskrit to Hindi and English languages to the benefit of the Kashmiri Samaj and it will also share valuable information of Kashmiri Saints and scholars with the world, the handout said.
It further said that the Mandal will also send a team of learned scholars of Sharda language and Kashmiri culture to PoK in order to gather information on the art and architecture of Sharda Temple. In this regard the Mandal has appealed the Central and State Governments to grant necessary permission to the scholars to visit Sharda temple in PoK.
