Brahman Sabha celebrates birth anniversary of Pt Malaviya

JAMMU, Dec 25: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha today celebrated Bharat Ratan Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya’s 162nd birth anniversary by organizing a function in the premises of the Sabha here.
Senior BJP leader, Chander Mohan Sharma was chief guest of the function and he called for emulating values and principles of great freedom fighter Bharat Ratan Madan Mohan Malaviya’s, nationalism, simplicity and social reform which Pt Malaviya pursued throughout his life.
President of the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma said that Uttar Pardesh in particular and nation as the whole cannot forget the services of Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya who functioned as Vice Chancellor of the Banaras Hindu University from 1919 to 1938.
Senior Member of the Sabha, Advocate P C Sharma also spoke on the occasion. He threw light on the life of Pt Malaviya who was one of the founders of Bharat Scouts and Guides, founded English newspaper and remained Chairman of Daily Hindustan Times from 1924 to 1946
Retired DC B S Jamwal, prominent social activist Subash Shastri, Akhil Bhartiya, Dharam Parchar Sewa Samiti convener Sunil Sharma paid rich tribute to Malaviya and recalled his contributions in different capacities.
Sabha office bearers, namely Pt V M Magotra, N C Sharma, M L Sharma, Satyanand Sharma, Soujanya Sharma, M L Padha, Shiv Ram Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, K L Sharma, Davinder Sharma (Baboo), S S Baru, Barita Ram Sharma, Gurdass Sharma, Sat Paul Sharma, Raman Sharma, Rajesh Bargota, Prem Balotra, Ritiz Khajuria, Shiv Chander Sharma, Arnav Khajuria, Balwinder Singh Bhatia, Ravi Sharma, Kanav Sharma District President (BJYM) also paid tribute to Late Bharat Ratan Atal Behari Vajpayee on his 99th birth anniversary.
