JAMMU, Apr 30: A joint meeting of social, cultural and religious organizations besides JMC Corporators was organized by Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade, under chairmanship of the Sabha president Ved Parkash Sharma to finalize arrangements in connection with Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti celebrations.
Addressing the meeting, Ved Parkash Sharma informed that the religious programs will commence on May 4 with Vishal Shobha Yatra and conclude on May 7 with traditional Yagya Havan, Pujan of Bhagwan Parsuram Ji Maharaj and Yogyapaveet ceremony in the premises of Sabha.
“Vishal Shobha Yatra will be taken out at 3 pm from premises and after passing through, Moti Bazar, Pacca Danga, Chowk Chabutra, Jain Bazaar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, Shaheedi Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar and Shalamar, shall l culminate at Chanakya Chowk Parade Jammu. Shri-Shri 1008 Swami Hari Chaitanya Puri Maharaj Jee of Kama Rajasthan will also accompany the Shobha Yatra. Other dignitaries will include important names from the world of bureaucracy civil and local administration and other distinguished persons,” he informed.
World known religious Dharam Guru Puri Ji Maharaj will deliver Parvachan on the life of Bhagwan Parshuram Ji from 5, 6 and 7 May in the premises of Brahman Sabha Parshuram Bhawan from 3 pm to 6 pm, he added.
Ved Parkash Sharma appealed people of the State from different walks of life to participate in large numbers to seek blessings of Lord Parshuram Ji. The organizers also urged the local administration to provide necessary logistics like security, cleanliness, drinking water and uninterrupted power supply.
