Brahman Sabha for end to caste based reservation

JAMMU, May 18: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha today expressed its anguish over the continuation of reservation policy based on caste in derogation of lives and future of the members of non-Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes etc.
Talking to media persons, here today, senior member of the DBPS Advocate P C Sharma said it is deplorable that all the political parties/organisations are ignoring the sentiments and problems of the people who are badly hit by the perpetuity by such policy. “Enough is enough, the time has come to say good bye to such policies,” he said.
While speaking on the occasion, Youth President of the Sabha, Ritish Khajuria said that reservation may be in the form of providing financial aid but not benefiting in competitive examinations and employment. Upper caste meritorious students are being ignored in getting scholarships etc compelling them to be demoralized, he added.
