JAMMU, Mar 5: A K Vidyamandir and Premier Institute Jammu today opened a branch on Exchange Road, Kachi Chawni.
Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and Minister of State for Higher Education Dr Manohar Lal Sharma inaugurated the institute in presence of a galaxy of senior bureaucrats, officers of the State Government, parents of aspiring students and a large number of students.
On the occasion, parents briefed the Ministers about the efforts put in by Premier Institute in promoting value based academic excellence under a watchful eye. The level of involvement of the management of the two institutes in reaching out to all was noted with pride.
While complimenting the promoters in their endeavour to provide a competitive ambience to students of the State, the Dy CM and MoS Higher Education also expressed their satisfaction on the efforts made by A K V and Premier Institute in helping students of marginalized communities particularly from far off and backward districts by providing free reading material, scholarship schemes and fee waivers. The scholarship scheme offered by AKV was a point of reflection.
Later, mementoes were presented to the guests by the promoters of AKV Jammu.
