LOS ANGELES, Oct 30: Comedian Russell Brand in his new documentary, “Brand: A Second Coming” blames ‘vapid’ celebrity lifestyle for his divorce from Katy Perry.
Brand and Perry divorced in 2012 after 14 months of marriage, reported Aceshowbiz.
“Oh my God. I’m living, like, this life of the very thing I detest: vapid, vacuous celebrity,” said Brand, who looked emotional, while footage of him and Perry walking through a group of paparazzi appeared on screen.
His rant was immediately followed by footage of the 31-year-old “Part of Me” singer saying, “I don’t want to give all this up.”
The 40-year-old comedian showed a surprised facial expression when he heard what Perry said.
Their divorce also appeared in Perry’s 2012 documentary “Katy Perry: Part of Me”. According to her documentary, her busy tour schedule made them grow apart. (PTI)
