Every year we will get together in the remembrance of fallen heroes and you are one of them.
Remembering you , are your footprints you left behind to show , you live in our hearts and minds.
This is how the day of your martyrdom for the motherland at Punja post ( Keri Battalion- 8 JAKLI) on 9 Apr 2018 will be commemorated to remember you, while you rest in peace in heaven. And gallantly you fought. And laid down your life. What for?
For us. For our better tomorrow.
You had fallen. But always live in our hearts and minds twenty four hours round the clock. You deserve a salute. You deserve respect. You always commanded respect. You never demanded respect. A soldier is always a soldier. Come what May. We would always pay our befitting tributes as our moral obligation to the fallen heroes every year including you .
And you have done us all proud beyond doubts. And done proud to the nation. Well done SHAHEED- Braveheart Vinod Manhas . Just a thought flashed in my mind to pen down few lines about your supreme sacrifice you made for the nation , the moment I read your name on the entry gate to your village , while crossing the same . I halted and took a photograph of the gate . Of course Braveheart’s name was written in capital letters.
Before we forget to remember you. But how can we forget your heroic deeds. Definitely not. You fought and fought , courageously you fought and laid down your life. What for? For us. For our better tomorrow. You had fallen but done a heroic job, well accomplished task and can’t be forgotten by any stretch of imagination , by anyone at all. And really speaking you have done proud to the society, your community , to the state and to the nation of course and done us all proud . But always live in our hearts. Courageously and bravely you fought. Life or death didn’t matter to you. It was the call of duty which mattered the most to you. May your soul Rest in Peace in heaven. This day , your martyrdom day is a symbol of your bravery, valour and determination and you fought gallantly for the beloved nation to achieve victory and glory. Very well done our Braveheart . You have done us all proud. The fallen heroes are remembered by us all . WE PAY BEFITTING HOMAGE TO REMEMBER AND HONOUR YOUR VALOUR . We all will remember you in our hearts and minds forever. You were and you proved that you are always a great warrior , who fought tooth and nail to kneel down the enemy and bring laurels to the nation as well as to your battalion- 8 JAKLI. Who can forget your supreme sacrifice ? No one. And never. The nation will always remember you and your family . Your spouse and siblings deserve respect and always hold a special place in army fraternity and they represent you , a fallen hero( dear husband and father) . This piece of article is written primarily in the everlasting memory of Shaheed rifleman Vinod Singh Manhas. You have done proud to your parents too , Mrs and Capt Ajit Singh Manhas resident of DANPUR village. You are a great source of inspiration and motivation for future generations.

Katra katra aapka aur aap jaise faujion ke khoon ka karta hai raksha desh ke border ki (LAC AUR LOC) par din raat baith kar. Aap ko aur aap jaise logon ko hum sabh ka salaam.
Only son of parents, Rifleman Vinod Singh was immortalized fighting pakis at LOC in Poonch sector of J&K in 2018. WELL DONE BRAVEHEART OF DANPUR( DATYAL) VILLAGE . YOU ARE STILL ALIVE IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS.
