Brian Lara discharged from hospital, declared ‘fit and fine’

MUMBAI: West Indies cricketer Brian Lara was discharged from the Global hospital here on Wednesday as he was declared ‘fit and fine’, a day after he complained of chest pain.

The 50-year-old, Lara was admitted to the Parel-based Hospital after complaining of chest pain during a gym workout session on Tuesday.

Former West Indies legend Lara said, “I know everyone is very concerned about what is happening. I was getting a pain in my chest and I just thought that it was best to see a doctor. I was taken to the hospital, pain continued obviously and a lot of tests were done”.

Lara is in India to perform out media duties during the World Cup in England. (AGENCIES)
