Bribing scribes proof of BJP’s anti-democratic agenda: PDP

JAMMU, May 8: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Ved Mahajan today slammed the BJP over trying to bribe scribes during Ladakh polls, stating that after demolishing country’s vital institutions, the party is out to destroy democracy’s fourth pillar.
In a statement issued here, Mahajan said that such actions by the BJP reflect party’s mindset towards the vital and important institutions of democracy and how the party is out to defame and destroy one of the honest and sincere professions of the world.
Condemning the recent incidents of violence in Kashmir in which BJP activists were assassinated, Mahajan said that the party should have raised equal hue and cry at the time when functionaries of other political parties were mercilessly killed. “We condemn each and every killing of innocent human beings. However, it was the sadistic approach of the party that was making it to rejoice the killings of the people from rival political groups. It’s hypocritical approach is now being exposed to the core and it is high time for the people to understand BJP’s true intentions and its duplicity,” Mahajan said.
