REASI, Feb 12: A bridge on rivulet Badora collapsed when two loaded dumpers were crossing on it, here today.
Due to collapse of the bridge, both the dumpers (JK02CW-9495 and other one without registration number) fell in Badora rivulet causing injuries to their drivers.
Reports said that the dumpers, loaded with sand and on way towards Rajouri from Arnas were crossing the Badora bridge at the same time and due to overweight on its, the bridge got collapsed. Both the dumpers fell in the rivulet due to which drivers of the vehicles were injured.
They were identified as Amjid Khan, son of Mohd Rafiq, resident of Kandi, tehsil Kotranka, District Rajouri and Shokat Ali, son of Mohd Latief, resident of Jaglano, tehsil Kotranka, District Rajouri.
Police team from Police Station Chassana reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital. A case has also been registered in this connection.
Due to collapsing of the bridge, road link between Mahore and Chassana remained cut off.
