JAMMU, Mar 10: On second last day of Combined Annual Training Camp at Nagrota today, Brigadier Satish Kumar, Group Commander NCC GP Headquarters, Jammu visited the camp where 500 NCC Cadets are undergoing rigorous training.
Brigadier Kumar addressed the Cadets on various issues of employment for youth of J&K and discussed the advantages for Cadets who have passed ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate and motivated the Cadets to become a responsible citizen of the country.
The Group Commander inspected the camp and reviewed the training activities being conducted by 2-J&K Battalion NCC, Jammu.
He also took review of ongoing works in the camp for better administration.
A lecture cum demonstration was also organized for the Cadets on Disaster Management by the team of Civil Defence volunteers headed by DySP, Shashi Thakur.
The Cadets were educated about new Motor Vehicle Act implemented by the government.
A motivational lecture was conducted by Mohd Nabab, Superintendent and Vijay Anand, Intelligence Officer of Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu.
A lecture cum demonstration was also conducted by Dog Unit, Headquarters 16 Corps.
The Cadets also showcased their talent in cultural activities during the evening cultural programme.
At the end the Group Commander, Brig Kumar distributed prizes and certificates to outstanding Cadets for their best performance in the activities.
The event was closed with traditional ‘Camp Fire’ followed by Barakhana for Cadets.
The Group Commander also congratulated Col P.K Sinha, Camp Commandant, Deputy Camp Commandant Col S.S Rawat and complete staff of 2-J&K Battalion NCC for their hard work and excellent conduct of Combined Annual Training Camp.
A handout stated that the camp will conclude tomorrow and all the Cadets will leave for their respective schools and colleges.
