JAMMU, Sept 12: Chief Engineer, Project Beacon of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Brig TPS Rawat inspected road works in Doda and Bhaderwah areas and discussed the problems being faced by GREF men in the execution of work especially on Bhaderwah-Bani road in district Doda.
Accompanied by Col H Y Arun, Commander 35 BRTF, Officer Commanding ( Xen) 114 RCC (GREF) Ashwani Kumar and Assistant Engineer Avtar Singh, Brig Rawat during his two day visit inspected progress of work on Batote-Kishtwar, Puldoda-Bhaderwah, Bhaderwah-Bani and Kahila-Jangalwar roads. He appreciated the anti-encroachment drive launched with the help of local administration at several points which has caused delay in the completion of work on these roads.
Brig Rawat also discussed the issues of land acquisition, removal of encroachment, Forest clearance etc with the local Revenue and Forest officials. He also asked his men to expedite the pace of work on these roads. The CE also inspected work on Chakka and Dandi bridges. He was informed that work on Amira Nagar bridge would not be taken up due to some land acquisition issue and will be started when the issue is settled. He expressed satisfaction over the quality of work being executed by the 114 RCC on Bani road.
