JAMMU, June 27: Residents from Brij Nagar area held protest demonstration against long power curtailments and disrupted movement of traffic on Jammu-R S Pura road for some time.
Led by Congress leader Darshan Raina, a large number of people including women came out on the road and staged protest. They were shouting slogans against the PDD authorities for providing poor supply of electricity. They demanded installation of additional transformer at Brij Nagar.
The agitating people also blocked road and disrupted movement of traffic for some time. Later, police reached the spot and got the road cleared.
