JAMMU : With a record turnout registering 71% voting in the 1st Phase, the 2nd phase of the assembly is going to the polls today covering 18 constituencies including 05 in Kupwara district (Karnah, Kupwara, Lolab, Handwara and Langate), 04 in Kulgam (Noorabad, Kulgam, Home Shalibugh and Devsar) and 03 in Reasi district (Gulabgarh, Reasi and Gool Arnas), 03 in Udhampur district (Udhampur, Chenani and Ramnagar) and 03 in Poonch (Surankote, Mendhar and Poonch- Haveli).
During the 1st hour of polling, men, women and elderly people have been seen standing in queues outside polling stations to exercise their franchise.
