Brothel busted; lady kingpin among 3 arrested, minor girl rescued

JAMMU, Sept 12: Police busted a brothel running in a house with the arrest of three persons including lady kingpin and rescuing a minor girl.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was submitted by Urja Singh, State President Betiya Foundation (NGO) New Delhi, Sub Office Talab Tillo alongwith other two lady members namely Radhika Khajuria and Geeta Thakur with Police Station Bishnah stating that a lady Samaro Devi (48), wife of Rashpal Chand of Chak Bana Fatwal along with her family members are running a brothel in her house. “The lady has kept a number of girls and used to call the clients in her house”, the complainants added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 171/18 under Sections 344 RPC and 3/4 Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a police led by SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar and assisted by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta conducted raid at the said place in presence of a 1st Class Magistrate Tehsildar Bishnah and arrested three persons, who have been identified as Samaro Devi, wife of Rashpaul Chand of Chak Bana Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu, Hem Raj, son of Joginder Kumar of Vijaypur, at present Bishnah and Govind Ram, son of Rashpaul of Chak Bana Fatwal.
Police team also rescued a minor girl aged around 16 years from the clutches of the arrested accused, who has been lured by the accused in this illegal trade.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
