KATHUA, July 6: A BSF ASI died when the car in which he was travelling fell into deep canal at Jasrota, near here, today.

As per report three BSF personnel were travelling in a car on Jasrota road. The driver failed to control the car on sharp curve and fell into deep canal. Two persons were rescued by local people. But third one was trapped into the car.
A rescue operation was launched by police and SDRF to fish out the BSF personnel and locate the car. He was shifted to GMC Kathua but doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased was identified as BSF ASI Purshotam Singh, son of Dhian Singh resident of Sidhpur, Kangra, HP. Police has started investigation into the matter.
