BSF battalions donated blood on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas

AMBASSA(Tripura),  Jul 22: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas to  commemorate the victory in 1999 against Pakistani intruders, 71  battalion and 86 battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) voluntarily  donated blood in the district hospital in the subdivision of Ambassa in  the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.

In the  programme, Deputy Inspector General of BSF Teliamura circle Rajeev  Kumar, Commandant of 71 battalion Pramod Prasad Nowtiyal, Commandant of  86 battalion Surender Kumar, Superintendent of District Hospital Dr.  Gautam Debbarma and Dr. Pramod Das remained present. Including the  officials and jawans 40 armed personnel voluntarily donated blood.

Later,  the DIG Rajeev Kumar informed, “The victory of Kargil is an emblem of  our strength, valour and unity. We commemorate the day throughout the  country through different programmes to honour our heroes and also to  strengthen our tie with the countrymen.”
