JAMMU, Jan 19: A person hailing from Nandpur Village in Samba District was felicitated by Border Security Force (BSF) today.
Bhagwan Dass son of Amar Singh of Village Nandpur, District Samba, spotted a Pakistani drone in his agricultural land on January 17, 2023. He immediately informed the nearest BSF troops who recovered the drone and later handed it over to the Police for further investigation.
In recognition of Dass’s swift action, DIG Chiter Pal, Jammu Sector, today felicitated the former with a cash reward of Rs 50000 in a function held in Arnia sector, where villagers from Nandpur, Dug, and Jerda were present.
The BSF DIG appreciated the villagers for their assistance in providing timely information on drones and anti-national activity noticed by them.
