BSF foils infiltration bid in Samba

JAMMU:
Troops of Border Security Force foiled an infiltration bid along international border in Samba district.
“BSF troops deployed at border outpost in Samba Sector last night observed suspicious movement of four Pak persons in two groups approaching IB and reached very close to International Border,” official spokesman here today said.
It was the area where no farming activities takes place, he said, adding, “there was also an input about presence of militants in these area once they reached IB.”
“Alert troops deployed at forward mound fired Para bombs  and small arms towards the direction of suspicious groups of persons and foiled infiltration attempt,” they said.
The spokesman said the militants ran away to Pakistan side taking advantage of undulating ground  and thick vegetation. (AGENCIES)
