JAMMU, Nov 11: BSF Jammu Frontier was awarded the best contingent during three-day programme organized in the Union capital from November 8 to 10.
Under the aegis of BSF Wives Welfare Association, the Jammu Frontier also participated in the programme held at CGO Complex Delhi, for the welfare of BSF jawans and their families. The mega highlights of the programme were the attractive stalls of the Frontiers and Cultural Programmes presented by all Frontier of Border Security Force from across the country.
The programme was inaugurated by Gursharan Kour, wife of Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh. The BSF Jammu Frontier during the fete not only showed the glimpse and glitter of traditions of state art and handicrafts but also displayed the beautiful items prepared in the welfare centre of units.
Ujwal Shinde, wife of Union Home Minister Shushil Kumar Shinde at the grand finale, awarded Jammu Frontier of BSF as Best Frontier under the leadership of S S Tomar, IG BSF Jammu. Commandant Neeraj Dubey and Seema Dubey contributed a lot to this success.
